Presentation Complete!

Well Presentation 2 done and I'm feeling good, I got some useful feed back which I can put into the next part of the project such as time mananement and evidence of it! So shall get to work finding my gant chant from this term and make another to help stay on track next term as apparently you will need it cos its gonna fly by! I also got some useful ideas on where to take the next part of the project and plan on spending time in easter finalisng ideas so i come back refreshed and ready to go :) But for now bring on easter and some relaxation! (oh and of course my birthday)

self identity #10 - audio track

Ok so I have found a track I feel is good to accompany my 3d environment. I chose ‘On Call’ by Kings Of Leon as they are one of my favourite bands and this is one of my favourite songs. I also feel the words ‘I’m on call’ reflect part of my identity as I feel within my groups I am the listener and the one on call for advice. So here it is :)

Self Identity #9 - Complete render!!!!!!

Well finally I have completed my Avatar woopie! so relieved its finished in plenty of time and actually really proud of the outcome since alot of thought and effort has gone into this one. Had trouble with the rendering as the mapping messed up but didnt realise until after waiting about 2 hours for it to render grrr so then had to edit the mapping and leave for a further 2 hours but it is now done :) Now just thinking about audio tracks i associate with to accompany it making it a little more interesting to watch.

Holiday identity project

Since I am completing a small identities project whilst on holiday in Tunisia I decided I needed to look into how I would present the pictures I take. I found this on a site and decided it would be a really effective way to present them and could easily be achieved in flash.

self identity #8 - complete dance mirror, camera and render (1)

Ok I have now completed my avatar box and created a camera shot around each of the rooms except the speed is too fast and I have to work out how to slow this down so this will be tomorrows project. Although quick you may also see that the dance mirror is now completed with each of the stages of my life within dancing.

self ifentity #7 - complete car mirror

I have now completed the car mirror to add to the car section of the box. The eyes have been edited so that the pupils are of a winding road reflecting the freedom I felt came with passing my test as I was now finally starting to make my way to complete independence. This mirror will be placed within the window of the car image I have within the box.

self identity #6 - Merging and UVW maps

Well I have found out how to put the 3d elements I have started making into the 3d box of environments I have already created. This is achieved using the merge tool and then arranging and scaling them down to size within the environments.

I also had to find out how to align the pictures within the environments and elements and this is achieved with the use of UVW mapping and aligning where the picture is placed. I have found this time consuming, as you have to sub divide the materials and give each an ID and within this complex layout it has proved difficult to do! However I am slowly getting there and step-by-step the environments are becoming more complete.
